Brothers in Arms (S01E02)

Eager for action, PJ joins an offensive unit in Syria tasked with liberating the strategically important ISIS-controlled town of Al-Shaddadi. There, he quickly forms friendships with fellow Westerners, particularly with Levi, a young and humorous guy from Colorado whom he decides to mentor. Meanwhile, in Iraq, medics Pete and Derek find themselves perilously close to the frontlines as they participate in the battle to drive ISIS out of a nearby town near Mosul. As these volunteers take on new challenges, their camaraderie strengthens, revealing more about what motivated them to engage in the conflict.
