"Honor the sabbath day and keep it sacred." Janusz, a taxi driver, is celebrating Christmas Eve by adhering to cherished Polish customs: exchanging gifts with his family and attending Midnight Mass. However, his evening takes a turn when Ewa, a woman he once betrayed his wife with, reaches out for assistance. Her husband has gone missing, and she pleads for his help in locating him. Faced with a dilemma, Janusz must choose between observing the sanctity of the holiday at home or aiding Ewa, who insists she needs him. Is it his moral obligation to assist her?
