Martin and his friends set off on a cruise, but Gina accidentally gets left behind. During the voyage, Martin encounters a stunning woman named Ellen, whom he initially believes is considering ending her life. After a heartfelt conversation with him, she chooses hope instead and starts to feel a spark for Martin. Meanwhile, Tommy and Pam attempt to keep their friendship platonic, but things become complicated when Tommy meets another attractive woman. Later that evening, stowaway Cole joins Pam at the bar, leading to a night of heavy drinking. The next morning, Pam wakes up next to Cole, fearing they may have slept together. Meanwhile, Martin is surprised by a knock at his door and finds a partially dressed Ellen has come to see him.
