The Clampetts relocate to the Western set of their movie studio, but Drysdale is determined to prevent them from settling in. To keep them occupied, he casts them in a film about Cleopatra and Nero, with Jethro playing Caesar, Elly portraying a martyr fed to the lions, and Granny taking on the role of Cleopatra. In an unexpected twist, Elly befriends the lion, while Granny manages to get Nero tipsy on elderberry wine.
