Title: The Mystery of the Fatal Plaything Plot: Martin Selkirk, a notorious scoundrel, is infatuated with Claire Allison, despite her relationship with Dirk Benedict. In a brutal move, Selkirk fractures Dirk's jaw and starts bombarding Claire with menacing letters. Soon after, Selkirk is found dead in his seaside residence, leading to Claire's arrest for the murder.
