Her car was later discovered abandoned on the outskirts of the city, containing evidence of blood but no sign of Caroline, leaving her family in despair. Despite efforts to find her, the case quickly grew cold. In April 1992, the grim discovery of Nancy and Ian Blackburn’s bodies in the trunk of their car shocked the community. At the same time, a series of break-ins in Caledon raised alarms, leading investigators to suspect a solitary predator was targeting the area.
