In Florida, while working at the docks, Kimble encounters Marcie King, a woman he once refused to help with an illegal abortion five years prior when it was against the law. After seeking assistance from a less qualified doctor, Marcie suffers complications that prevent her from having children, leading her to unjustly blame Kimble for her misfortune. Amidst an approaching hurricane, Marcie and her boyfriend Harry, a fugitive embezzler, confront Kimble, demanding he transport them to safety from both the storm and the law enforcement searching for Harry.
