Following a delightful Thanksgiving, Doug and Carrie reminisce about their first holiday together and who declared their love first. They turn to Arthur for help, who begins to recount various Thanksgiving memories, eventually landing on 1993, when he was in a dispute with his new wife, Lily. Arriving at Carrie's family gathering, Doug faces awkwardness as Carrie, embarrassed by her relatives, dashes off, leaving him to navigate dinner with each parent separately. Despite Doug's attempts to impress, Arthur disparages his job at IPS, predicting it will soon be overtaken by robots. When Carrie returns, they share heartfelt declarations of love, while Arthur skeptically insists their relationship won’t endure.
