Although Reyes remains missing, the search has led to the discovery of a sunken boat that holds vital clues. Fran stumbled upon the vessel during a diving trip, revealing it was previously used for smuggling African diamonds, linking it to Reyes's illicit activities. Candela refuses to give up on finding Reyes or to let the investigation stall due to the Descent, an island-wide religious event that occurs every four years. In her desperation, she seeks assistance from Díaz, who is equally determined to uncover the true offender. Meanwhile, the murderer senses the walls closing in and contemplates fleeing, but he still needs to locate the diamonds hidden by Fran. To divert suspicion, he shifts the focus onto the unsuspecting Díaz.
