Choosing to trust in Naruto, Nagato performs the Gedo Art: Rinne Rebirth jutsu, sacrificing the remainder of his chakra and ultimately his life to bring back everyone in the village who perished during the attack, stating it’s the least he can do. With Nagato gone, Konan departs from Akatsuki, taking both Nagato and Pain’s God Realm—actually Yahiko’s body—with her. She tells Naruto that since Nagato believed he could achieve true peace, she will, too. Upon returning to the Leaf, Naruto is amazed to see the entire village cheering for him, finally receiving the recognition he has always longed for.
