As Sasuke journeys toward Konoha with his team, Taka, he reminisces about a time he saved a girl named Naho, unaware that she is related to the Feudal Lord. At the same time, Naruto and Sakura are assigned to protect Naho as her bodyguards, while Kakashi and Sasuke investigate the presence of internationally wanted bandits crossing into their territory. They soon discover that these bandits plan to kidnap Naho. After Naruto and Sakura are overpowered and taken captive, Sasuke arrives on the scene, defeating the leader in a fit of rage, fueled by jealousy over Naruto's increasing strength. The scene shifts to Naruto, who reflects on his vow to bring Sasuke back to the village.
