Sammy Davis Jr. portrays Billy Lee Watson, a former drug addict now serving as the director of a halfway house. Trouble arises when the father of a young girl, whom Billy has been helping, accuses him of statutory rape. The girl, pregnant and struggling with her own addiction, was under Billy's care. The father’s motives seem driven by a desire to shut down the halfway house, putting Billy’s efforts and his own redemption at risk.
