Enid is volunteering at a teen hotline when she connects with Mike, a quarterback from a rival school, who is struggling with his parents' divorce. Although she plans to meet him face-to-face, she hesitates at the last moment, worrying that she might not be attractive enough for him. Seeking encouragement from Jessica, she instead finds her friend trying to win Mike over. Meanwhile, Winston is excited to teach the new Japanese exchange student how to be 'cool,' only to discover that the student has a much cooler demeanor than he expected.
