Mama Gets a Job (S01E07)

Feeling unfulfilled in her life, Mama expresses her frustrations, prompting Naomi to suggest she look for work. Determined, Mama visits an employment agency where she struggles with the entry test and faces a daunting interview. The clerk doubts her prospects until Mama recalls that Raytown Travel is seeking a new secretary. She takes the position, starting that Saturday. On her first day, Mr. Vogelman, her boss, shows her around before leaving her to organize her desk. Mama initially struggles with the phone, but once she figures it out, a couple arrives wanting to book a Tahiti trip. Just then, her family calls with a crisis involving Buzz's lost shoes and Sonya stuck in the bathroom. Frustrated, Mama becomes rude, leading Mr. Vogelman to conclude she’s not suited for the role, ultimately firing her.
