Mama's sister, Frannie, has recently passed away, and though Mama struggles to reveal the bizarre circumstances of her death—choking on a toothpick in the ladies' room at the Bigger Jigger—she is determined to create a "perfect day" for her late sister. However, things quickly spiral out of control. First, she learns that Don and Loraine won't be attending, and Buzz and Sonya are absent for unknown reasons. Ed and Eunice have relocated to Florida, which is somewhat of a relief. Just when she thinks it can't get worse, Ellen calls to say she has more important matters to attend to. After the funeral, the chaos peaks when Vint forgets to close the hearse door, sending the coffin tumbling out and onto the freeway.
