The Tower lifeboat station, situated along the River Thames in London, is the most active of its kind, responding to over 500 emergencies each year and striving to launch within 90 seconds. When an urgent call reports a man in the water near the Thames Barrier, the crew arrives just in time to save him. Meanwhile, in Fleetwood on the Lancashire coast, a frantic 999 call brings attention to a bait digger searching for worms on the sand flats, who is now at risk of being engulfed by the rising spring tide and swept away into the sea.
