Frustrated that her image is prominently displayed in the new shoe store Stefano is launching with the Solaras, Lila devises a clever plan and asks Elena for assistance. While Lila starts working at the Caraccis’ grocery store, she still harbors bitterness toward her husband’s business ventures and their financial situation. Meanwhile, dedicated student Elena invites Lila to a gathering at Ms. Galiani’s house, where the two friends suddenly realize how their lives are diverging into increasingly separate realms.
