Meanwhile, Davy falls victim to a scam, losing the funds his classmates had pooled for a gift for their teacher. With the assistance of Dora and Wiley Lester, he manages to retrieve the money. Arthur persuades Izzy that welcoming Muriel into their lives would improve their situation. Hetty steps in to orchestrate Clive and Muriel's wedding, but they shock everyone by taking the Pettibone children along and holding a spontaneous ceremony in Carmody.
