Brian possesses the amulet that could return him home, but unfortunately, it fails to function. Howell deceives him into retrieving a book from the eerie Munty Library as a potential solution. Meanwhile, Barbara's mother arrives for a visit and becomes quite smitten with Herman. At the same time, Steg finds himself being misidentified as a goblin.
