As the new year begins, Mahiru and Amane celebrate together. After a long day of cooking, Mahiru succumbs to fatigue and drifts off in Amane's embrace, leaving him with no option but to let her sleep in his bed. Watching her peacefully slumber, completely vulnerable, stirs something within him. Two days later, Amane's parents arrive for a visit. At the shrine for Hatsumode, Amane is struck by Mahiru’s beauty in her kimono, while she can't help but blush at the sight of Amane looking so dashing.
