Nineteen-year-old Kay Dixon is drawn to the lavish lifestyle of the extravagant racketeer Max Foley, who is attempting to launch a floating cabaret. However, she soon becomes ensnared in a grim reality filled with prostitution, exploitation, and brutality, feeling trapped with no escape in sight.
