Death's Shadow (S02E01)

Barnaby and Troy return to Badger's Drift to probe the murder of Richard Bayly, a disliked property developer battling a brain tumor. Bayly had proposed a controversial housing project in the tranquil village, igniting fierce resistance from residents. He met his end at the hands of an Indian sword belonging to Stephen Wentworth, the local vicar. Adding another layer to the mystery is the recent presence of Simon Fletcher, a theater director with a troubled past and unresolved issues from his childhood that may tie into the case.
