In Midsomer Worthy, the local amateur choir features members like Joyce Barnaby and Dr. Bullard. Their conductor, Laurence Barker, is embroiled in a longstanding rivalry with a competitor. After a rehearsal for the prestigious Four Choirs competition, tragedy strikes when the lead tenor, Connor Simpson, is found dead under suspicious circumstances.
