Meanwhile, Amy struggles to divert her insecurities about her relationship with Rob onto Maxine, ultimately having to face the truth herself. Bruce gets into a heated argument with Winnie regarding their mother's relocation. Maxine grows frustrated with Jonathan's tactics to secure the arrest and conviction of a local pedophile. Additionally, Amy takes on the case of a boy facing gender identity issues, whose parents are accused of neglect for withdrawing him from school due to bullying from his peers.
