After forgetting to pick up Lauren from class, Amy gets to know Rob, Lauren's handsome sensei, when he brings her home. Meanwhile, Maxine gains some influential supporters in her mission to establish a center for child abuse victims. Amy rallies fellow judges to volunteer their time in order to finalize long-overdue adoptions. Donna spirals into sadness when Oscar confesses his guilt over his mother's murder. Amy faces a tough decision about whether an exorcism is the right choice for a young girl in need. Despite Maxine's attempts to distance herself, Jared stands firm, and Amy hesitantly hires Rob's niece as Lauren's new babysitter.
