When David returns to Hartford, Amy ends their romantic relationship despite his objections. Meanwhile, Maxine discovers that a teenage client, who had suffered abuse as a child, is now mentally unstable following a series of false rape allegations. At the airport, Kyle experiences a career revelation after encountering an undercover police officer who is also a fellow traveler. During her 89th birthday party, Isabel Messina is her usual rude self towards Maxine but is won over by Sean’s quirky birthday song. Amy also handles the case of a boy who keeps attempting to run away to join the circus, while she and Kyle rally around David as they await news on Victor, who is critically injured after a car accident and rushed into surgery.
