Weston; Raising in the Rain (S30E05)
In Weston, homeowners Amy and Pete Favat kick off the first day of "raising" their new home, but their enthusiasm is quickly dampened by unexpected rain. After a two-day delay due to the weather, the Bensonwood team begins by craning in the mechanical room module and erecting the basement walls. Meanwhile, in their New Hampshire workshop, plumbing and heating specialist Richard Trethewey and mechanical systems manager Paul Boa craft floor panels, incorporating radiant heating and insulation. Back in Weston, the assembled floor systems are lifted into position. Despite the ongoing rain, the crew successfully encloses the basement, and Amy shows host Kevin O'Connor the various features, including a two-car garage, mudroom, workshop, powder room, kitchenette, and media room.
