Hatchiman saves an elderly woman, unaware that she is Luna in disguise. She lures him to her "cave," where she, along with Chilla and Aluro, ambushes him and seizes his sword, the Thundercutter. Fortunately, the Thunderkittens locate Hatchiman and come to his aid. Meanwhile, the Lunataks devise a plan to harness the Thundercutter alongside their new samurai robot, Automaton, to challenge Lion-O and the Sword of Omens. Though the Thundercutter can’t distinguish between good and evil during the battle, it ultimately reacts to Hatchiman’s touch and obliterates the robot.
