The Next Life (S02E04)

Nick and Burton Fallin decide to join forces and revive the old Fallin & Associates into a new firm, Fallin & Fallin. Working side by side for the first time, their inaugural case involves Allegheny County Hospital, which is facing serious allegations after a nurse is arrested for murdering patients in the oncology unit. The hospital risks multiple lawsuits from grieving families. To build a strong legal team, they recruit James Mooney, only to find out his grandmother passed away in that hospital recently. Although he initially steps back from the case, James ultimately feels compelled to advocate for the victims’ families. Meanwhile, Nick takes on a separate case at the request of Laurie Solt, defending a child’s right to join an adoption party, a notion that appalls Alvin Masterson, who believes it commodifies children.
