The Father-Daughter Dance (S03E04)

Lulu embarks on her new role as Director of LSP, prompting Alvin to question his relevance at the organization. Meanwhile, Nick assists a couple in a lawsuit against a fertility clinic after discovering their child is Black. The couple wishes to raise the baby and seek compensation from the clinic. Nick also must locate Samantha Gray, who lost her vision due to her father's actions. Samantha visits Nick to assert her decision not to return to her past. During dinner with Mrs. Aaronson, who unexpectedly became pregnant following a fertility procedure, Nick learns the lawsuit will be retracted. Samantha discovers that her father's parental rights were revoked due to his battle with addiction. Together, Nick and Samantha wait at the courthouse, anxious for her father's arrival, but when he fails to show, Nick finds him using drugs nearby.
