In the second episode, our adventurous River Hunters journey to the River Avon, flowing beneath the historic Warwick Castle. While often associated with Shakespeare, this river holds a grim past, once stained with the blood of countless soldiers during a pivotal battle in the Wars of the Roses. Joining forces with the UK’s rare diving archaeologist, Gary Bankhead, Rick and Beau uncover a fascinating collection of artifacts spanning from the Wars of the Roses era to the Victorian period in Warwick. They then continue downstream to Tewkesbury, on a quest to locate a World War II helmet and Victorian pottery.
