Red Herring (S04E09)

A Russian defector is fleeing his past. When a Russian ship arrives in Whitby, a brawl erupts among the crew at a local pub. One sailor believes he has killed his captain and approaches Nick for political asylum. However, during their trip to the immigration office, he bolts, and they lose track of him. Blaketon is not pleased, but when the sailor learns that the captain is alive, he insists on returning to the ship. Nick and Claude devise a plan to help him sneak back aboard, which succeeds. Meanwhile, Greengrass is caught trout poaching with a priest, and Dr. Radcliff's daughter goes missing near the cliffs, prompting a search that ultimately finds her safe.
