After serving time for drugging her husband, Suzanna Temple-Richards returns to her hometown. However, her past catches up with her when a former inmate approaches, asking for money, prompting her to feel uneasy. It soon becomes clear that this woman is an escaped convict plotting to flee to Spain with her boyfriend. Fortunately, the police piece together the situation and rescue Suzanna from the trunk of their car. Meanwhile, Eileen struggles with Jo staying at the Police House, but after a conversation with Nick, she comes to terms with it, believing Kate would have welcomed Jo.
