Mixed Emotions (S05E02)

Alex Shepard, a dedicated husband consumed by his career, faces a crisis as his wife Donna receives death threats. To keep her safe, Peter takes Donna on a boat trip while Alex is preoccupied with a business deal. Though initially flattered by Peter's concern, Donna becomes furious upon learning that he is only acting out of protective instinct. She confesses to fabricating the threats herself to draw Alex's attention. Meanwhile, Dave is presented with a promising job offer from a San Diego law firm, and Megan reveals she is pregnant. Struggling with the idea of losing Megan as his secretary, Christine proposes a legal position at the hotel, but after a disagreement, Dave chooses the hotel role for Megan's happiness. Ultimately, Megan decides to pursue her own dreams in San Diego, leaving their plans uncertain.
