When several authority figures, including a police officer, are discovered with stab wounds in their backs, Rachel shifts her focus to Pamela (guest star Marcia Cross), a young woman known for adopting various identities, likely rooted in her traumatic childhood experiences. Meanwhile, Rachel is also grappling with a more immediate danger from an FBI higher-up (guest star Gregory Itzin) who has wrongfully claimed she coerced a subordinate into a sexual relationship, a scandal that could jeopardize her career. In a different storyline, Bailey challenges George about his dependence on prescription medication and insists he seek assistance.
