Left in Trust (S04E22)
Maggie becomes personally invested when a Polish woman named Ivona arrives at the police station, accompanied by a taxi driver demanding payment. Ivona can only say "Daughter" in English, leading Maggie to conclude that her daughter is in Mt. Thomas. With an address for the McPhee family, they begin their search there. However, Maggie and PJ soon realize the case is more complicated than it seems—Danusha, Ivona's daughter, is an exchange student who was living with the McPhees but has since moved. They are soon pointed to the Barnses, a family Danusha met through her friend Mandy. With both parents away, Mandy's older brother, Jason, is left in charge, and both siblings claim Danusha is back at the McPhee's. As the Heelers work to track Danusha down, they delve into school records and consult both families, as well as the exchange program coordinator, but they encounter dead ends.
