A young woman seeks the aid of Ironside when her fiancé is wrongfully accused of murder. Complicating matters, the fiancé turns out to be a former Naval colleague of the Chief's with whom he shares a troubled history, leading to a reluctant partnership. As the investigation unfolds, it becomes evident that deep-seated biases in the couple's hometown threaten to ruin an innocent man's future. With time running out, Ironside must navigate his personal feelings to uncover the truth and protect the wrongfully accused.
