Johnny and Chet accidentally wreck the station's television, causing frustration among their fellow firefighters. Meanwhile, paramedics come to the aid of a man trapped in a manhole fire. At Rampart, Dr. Morton treats a patient suffering from a bleeding ulcer, while Dr. Brackett finds himself in the role of patient after experiencing an adverse reaction to a catfish sting. In a separate incident, a man mistakenly glues his eyes shut, and a mudslide leaves Johnny and Roy trapped alongside the very man they were trying to save.
