While exploring an antique trunk, a couple discovers a hidden compartment that holds a 70-year-old film from the Amazon rainforest. An elderly Irishman, often ridiculed for his tales of Leprechauns, manages to capture the leader of the little folk and lets his greed take over. Meanwhile, a young man recently nursing a broken heart finds a fortune at a Chinese restaurant predicting new love, which soon becomes a reality. His life appears to be going perfectly until his desire for more luck leads him to obsessively read fortune cookies. The wise old Chinese owner warns him about the misfortune that comes from not finishing his meal before checking his fortune.
