Twelve Steps of Christmas (S05E12)

Col. Taylor, Jaleesa, and Terrence bicker over their family's inaugural Christmas preparations. Jaleesa extends an invitation to Whitley for their Christmas dinner. Meanwhile, Dwayne's skiing plans fall apart when his date breaks up with him, tired of his constant talk about Whitley. Col. Taylor invites Dwayne to join them, unaware that Whitley will also be present. Whitley visits her therapist, only to find the Taylors are her next patients. Dr. Langhorne accepts the dinner invitation to escape her overbearing mother-in-law and attempts to reconcile the group's tensions, encouraging Dwayne and Whitley to mend their friendship. Meanwhile, everyone tries to avoid a fruitcake sent by Whitley's aunt.
