Title: Caroline and the 2000th Strip Plot: A grand celebrity banquet is planned to honor Caroline's 2000th comic strip, but a major hiccup arises: she’s hit a creative wall and can't come up with new, humorous material. While her friends await her arrival (with Richard donning a shabby rental tux that’s falling apart), Caroline daydreams about retiring from her comic career. Overwhelmed, she declines to attend the celebration and opts to do laundry instead. Richard gently reminds her that she’s distanced herself from her true experiences, as her comic character is still "seeing that veterinarian." Inspired, Caroline sketches a strip about their first date on the laundry machine.
