Steve and Rudy set out to visit scientist Cheryl Osborne, who had been studying chimpanzees but has gone silent. Upon their arrival, they discover the lab in ruins, indicating that something has gone horribly wrong. In the chaos, Rudy is attacked and bitten by an aggressive chimp. As Rudy spirals into madness, Steve faces the urgent challenge of subduing him while simultaneously searching for Cheryl before the situation escalates beyond control.
