In this episode of "ER," Ricky Abbott makes another visit to the emergency room. Doug fakes documents so Joi can provide care for Ricky at home. Meanwhile, Corday chooses to withdraw from the investigation into Romano's sexual harassment claims after he threatens to reveal her romance with Benton. Following this, Romano is appointed as Acting Chief of the ER. Dr. Greene attends to a Nigerian janitor suffering from back pain and impotence. Carol and the nursing staff take care of a group of dogs while their owner is hospitalized. Additionally, Carter diagnoses a medical student with Hodgkin's disease, and Kerry begins her search for her biological parents.
