Tony and the Time Team trek to a secluded hill in Herefordshire to explore one of the largest prehistoric sites ever uncovered. The question at hand: was Dinmore Hill home to an expansive Iron Age hill fort? Stewart is skeptical, suggesting instead it may be an earlier cross-ridge dyke. To settle the debate, they need to find items that can be accurately dated. Their excavation, however, is challenged by relentless rain. In spite of the weather, they discover a vast, impressive ditch, likely excavated by thousands during the Iron Age. They are joined by historian Bettany Hughes, county archaeologist Keith Ray, and environmental archaeologist Mike Allen.
