Tony Robinson and his team dive into the River Tees, where local divers have uncovered over 2,000 remarkable Roman artifacts. This river runs alongside one of northern Britain’s most significant Roman forts, prompting the archaeologists to explore the surrounding buildings, roads, and structures over a three-day period. The main challenge lies in deciphering the activities that took place in the river’s depths, where the majority of the discoveries originated. This requires several of Time Team's best to don wetsuits and face the swift currents of the Tees.
