In Marysville, Ohio, an elderly woman had her ill, alcoholic husband taken away by Adult Protective Services due to the unsafe living conditions in their home. The family's financial struggles are further exacerbated by their daughter, who suffers from schizophrenia and has a tendency to hoard. Meanwhile, in Torrance, California, a woman known for her compulsive collecting is on the brink of eviction unless she can tidy up her living space.
