In Kansas, a woman's uncontrollable shopping obsession has filled her home to the brim, leading to authorities stepping in and taking her children away due to the unsafe living environment. Meanwhile, in Beverly, Massachusetts, a man's extensive collection of home renovation materials and old items has created such a hazardous situation that his common-law wife ended up breaking her arm after tripping over a mountain of his belongings. Despite the incident, he appears indifferent and is subsequently faced with an ultimatum: either tidy up the mess or find somewhere else to live.
