The episode opens with Tatiana piloting her Vanship through the Grand Stream, on the lookout for Disith ships as tensions rise for an impending battle. Meanwhile, Claus and Lavie, two skilled vanship pilots, are gearing up for an upcoming race. However, before the qualifiers, they opt to take on a delivery task. Their mission is to convey a message from the wife of Duke Madossein, along with a personal note from her daughter. Since Duke Madossein commands the Anatory fleet, Claus and Lavie find themselves navigating a dangerous firefight between Anatory and Disith forces. In this chaotic clash, we witness Fusilier Moran in action for the first time. The episode wraps up with Claus and Lavie boarding Duke Madossein's ship.
