Claus and Lavie make headway in the endurance race, but Dio and Lucciola keep pushing them. Meanwhile, Duke Henry Knowles escalates the bidding for the Exile artifact, drawing more interest from the auction crowd. Alex tries to outbid the competition, only for Guild Maestro Delphine Eraclea to challenge him, eventually raising the bid to 50 billion Claudia. At this moment, one of Knowles's men threatens Alex with a gun. During their last pit stop, Tatiana and Alister load up with explosive charges for their mission. After the auction, Knowles confronts Alex outside, revealing his desire for revenge for his son’s death aboard the Goliath. In the race's final lap, Claus and Lavie surge ahead after only partially fueling their vanship, clinching victory. At midnight, Tatiana and Alister's explosives take out Horizon Cave's power generators, plunging it into darkness. Seizing the moment, Alex eliminates Knowles
