Brush War at Buford (S08E11)

Major Buford, a Confederate veteran, merges his cattle with Rowdy's herd to gain passage across Duke Aberdeen's property. Duke, a former POW from a Confederate prison, refuses to allow Buford's cattle across his land. Adding to the tension, Buford's son Court harbors a deep resentment towards anything associated with the Union. The Buford family suffered greatly when Union troops torched their Virginia mansion, leading to Mrs. Buford's passing shortly after. In an attempt to thwart Buford, Duke dispatches fake stock inspectors who falsely assert that many of the cattle belong to other owners.
